In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful.

Muslims are in a divided state today and must begin re-uniting just as in our great past. For just as Abu Bakr (pbuh) said 'It is forbidden for Muslims to have two Emirs (rulers)'.  This present division in the Ummah has led to the falling behind of our once great civilization. The Conquest of the Middle East in the early 20th century and the subsequent degrading of the Muslims has implemented the stereotype that Muslims are a backward people, following a religion incapable of development and democracy. 

Yet, instead of proving such a small-minded and ignorant view undeniably wrong, just the opposite has occurred. The present situation in the Muslim World has reinforced this stereotype with our nations flooded with tyrannical dictators, our development being hindered by corruption and our laws being plagued by a deliberately misinterpreted radical Islam.

For centuries, the Islamic civilization remained the leader of science, medicine, mathematics, astronomy, architecture, education, agriculture and economics while its highly developed and vibrant cities were the envy of the world. The arts flourished and philosophers roamed the lands of a seemingly unstoppable nation. The City of Wisdom, Baghdad, was the heart of innovation and knowledge of the planet. Where is it that the Islamic civilization went wrong?

Unity is the key to success and it was the betrayal of each other that brought about the decline of such a civilization. As, for today Muslims are facing a crisis, a crisis that can only be solved if they discover their own identity. Not the identity based on that Western stereotype imposed on the Muslims - the one of ignorance and backwardness - but discover the identity Allah encourages us to follow, the identity of steadfastness and righteousness.

We must unite brothers & sisters, bring back affluence, prosperity and harmony as opposed to humiliation, war and poverty. For all those who believe Islam should unite and once again lead the world towards justice, tolerance and inchallah peace, join, become a member of muslims.eu.
